What Should I Invest In?

What Should I Invest in?

Choosing the right investment or type of investment all boils down to what you the investor are looking to gain. Although there are many forms of investments most are broken down into the following investment classes:

Equity
Debt
Precious Metals
Real EstateĀ

Although there are other classes, investments tend to be either financial assets such as stocks or physical assets such as land.

Investing in Equity

Underlying assets such as stocks and options fall into the equity class and tends to out perform all other kinds of investments if done the right way. On the downside with a higher chance of turn comes a higher level of risk.

Investing in Debt

Investing in debt can be done through financial assets such as bonds debt mutual funds or even a fixed deposit at your local bank. This is a very popular form of investing for those looking to get minor fixed returns as most debt investments carry a fixed level of return on a yearly basis. The two major risks debt investors take on are gorverment default on repayment and of course inflation which is constantly reducing our money’s buying power.

Investing in Precious Metals

Gold, silver and diamonds are currently the most popular and are a great way to diversify your investment portfolio. The main perk being the level of liquidation these assets hold, unlike other investments like real estate, precious metal can be converted to cash instantly.

Investing in Real Estate

For those of you who have money falling out of your pockets, real-estate investments could be the right way to go, offering low risk and high returns. Real estate can also be extremely hard to liquidate so be sure you the investor has the time is could take to turn profit
